Member Benefits
Professionalism
The term REALTOR® is a registered trademark that can only
be used by members of the National Association of REALTORS®
who subscribe to the REALTOR®
Code of Ethics. The Code sets forth standards of conduct and
professional integrity that are the hallmark of this association
and that account for the special respect for REALTORS®. If
a legal dispute arises, the Board's Grievance and Professional
Standards Committees have mechanisms for resolving complaints
from members and the public. Our mediation and arbitration services
are a valuable alternative to costly litigation.
A Strong Political Voice
We offer many opportunities for members to become directly involved
in the political process and provide a strong voice in representing
REALTOR® concerns at the local, state and national levels.
Through direct involvement, REALTORS® have become a recognized
entity in local politics and a true grass roots force. We offer
political forums, fundraising events, and education on issues
that directly affect the real estate industry.
Professional Development
The Greater Manchester/Nashua Board of REALTORS® offers complete
real estate education. Our programs address the needs of all real
estate professionals, successfully taking an agent through the
professional designations and state-required Mandatory Continuing
Education. Numerous seminars and training programs keep members
abreast of the rapid changes in the real estate industry and provide
a forum for networking among other real estate professionals.
Industry News and Information
Members receive monthly magazines from the state and national
associations, as well as The Greater Manchester/Nashua Board of
REALTORS® newsletter. These publications keep you abreast
of news and upcoming events, changes in the industry and useful
information to increase your business success.
Community Impact
Members get directly involved in community projects, political
campaigns and issues that have an effect on home ownership, housing
affordability and private property rights. Members volunteer in
a number of ways, from writing letters to elected officials to
painting and repairing homes in low-income neighborhoods.
Strengthened Business Relationships
Through participation in one of the Board's committees, members
volunteer their time and ideas and strengthen their business relationships.
Committees plan and organize special events, create new programs,
select award recipients, and influence legislation affecting real
estate.
Networking Opportunities
Monthly new member orientation meetings, , a yearly golf tournament,
fashion show, and various social events give members opportunities
to establish business and personal contacts. Top performers in
the real estate industry are recognized at the annual installation
and awards banquet.
